Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn lost a bet on the Packers-Bears playoff game to Scott Walker, which requires Quinn to wear a Packers jersey while working at a Wisconsin food pantry.
But don't expect him anytime soon. Quinn has postponed the trip because of the turmoil in Wisconsin over Gov. Scott Walker's attempt to break the state's public employee unions, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Walker has invited Illinois businesses to flee to Wisconsin, but instead Wisconsin state senators have crossed the border into Illinois.
“What we’re seeing in Wisconsin is not the way to do it,” a Quinn spokesperson said. “When a state is experiencing such mass turmoil, businesses are not going to be attracted to it. The governor (Quinn) does welcome Democratic members of the Wisconsin Senate and really anybody from Wisconsin who wants to come to Illinois, where we’re up and running and doing our best to work together.”
