We Are Wisconsin Women – “Walk a Mile in Her shoes”

As a part of their effort to educate female voters across the district, We Are Wisconsin Women have started “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” – a voter outreach program where volunteers dedicate their walk to another woman personally affected by the Olsen-Walker budget.

With only seven days until the polls open, We Are Wisconsin Women are asking volunteers to “Walk a Mile in Her shoes” to spread the word about the upcoming election on August 9. We Are Wisconsin Women is recently formed group of women from throughout the district who came together to take a stand against the devastating Olsen-Walker budget and its crippling effects on Wisconsin’s women, families and children.

“We refuse to stand idle as Luther Olsen blindly follows Scott Walker as he pursues a radical agenda that slashes funding for healthcare, schools, and communities,” said Jane Smith of Ripon. “Senator Olsen has made it quite clear he would rather stand with Scott and the super-rich than the women and families of his district.

As a part of their effort to educate female voters across the district, We Are Wisconsin Women have started “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” – a voter outreach program where volunteers dedicate their walk to another woman personally affected by the Olsen-Walker budget. “I’m doing this for my sister, my mother, my daughters and my neighbors. There are simply too many women to name that are devastated by the Olsen-Walker budget,” remarked another woman as she returned from knocking on doors in Ripon.

In the final stretch We Are Wisconsin Women are ramping up their efforts to reach as many voters as possible with their message – District 14 women deserve better than Luther Olsen. They deserve a candidate who will fight  for families, women and children – a candidate like Fred Clark.
